| "Flower " the duck, update! Flower my pet wild duck was re-introduced back into the wild last fall, following extensive flying lessons involving our Mastercraft ski boat. Flower would accompany my husband and I , out in the boat to the middle of the lake. She would jump in the water, we would take off down the lake, with me calling her. When the boat was a sufficiant distance away, "Flower" would take off and fly beside the boat. At the end off the lake she would drop her webbed feet down and exacute a perfect landing. It was quite a sight to behold! As fall aproached "Flower" became braver with her flights, until one cool fall day she was gone...I missed her so much! Now that spring is here, I have my eye to the sky hoping she'll come home! | .jpg) |
